This film photography collection, shot across Scottish cities and villages in the autumn, and winter of 2024, captures an unexpected yet mesmerizing fusion of urban and rural landscapes. Double exposures emerged through the accidental reuse of a film roll, blending Glasgow’s and Edinburgh’s iconic architecture with the wild beauty of the Highlands. The resulting images create surreal "portals"—where cityscapes dissolve into misty mountains, Highland cows stand alongside bustling streets, and people become intertwined with Scotland’s raw, untamed scenery. What began as a mistake became a strikingly intentional composition, revealing the deep, dreamlike connection between Scotland’s urban and natural worlds.
